Tonight was opening night for my school's production of "Godspell", a sixties take on the Gospel according to Matthew.
.... AND IT WENT SO FREAKING WELL.
Josh was on-pitch (most of the time, anyway lol), Andy was a flippin' genius, Sarah was fun, Steph was ubertalented and AUDIBLE, Kim was perfect as Robin, Tom was brilliant, Sami had perfect energy, Nathan was good, Emily C. was amazing in the swing-dance that she learned only minutes beforehand!, Briar was incredible and hilarious, Emma was good, Lisa was on-time, Marika was good and ingenious, Dan was... Dan lol WE ALL DID SO WELL.
At intermission, Andy was on the verge of tears! Why? Because we were all so scared it was going to screw up (with reason... the previous dress rehearsal had gone horribly) and then it went absolutely perfect!!
Partying during Light of the World was SO. MUCH. FUN. We got people from the audience to go up, and at first there was just one older lady who ran up and we all encouraged her and then more came up and it was a big party onstage!! It was sooooo much fun!
...btw, I apologize if i'm somewhat incoherent, because I'M ON A RUSH, BABY!!! WOOOOT!!!
All the dances went really well, and I remembered most of the words, and smiled a ton! I'm surprised my cheeks don't hurt after all that!!!
You know what, I love all of them. The entire cast. I am going to cry so incredibly hard when it's over!! I went up to hug them, and I went to Andy first (convenient distance, nothing special), and he hugged me and- catching me by surprise- lifted me up in the air!! I bent my legs and accidentally sacked Haller (lol whoops!), and then I laughed and went on to Josh, who did the same thing (he is such an awesome guy, very affectionate!), and it just felt soooo good!!!!!!!
I can't believe we get to do this three more times...
...I can't believe we _only_ get to do this three more times.
<3 love.
